Security for yards, warehouses and logistics sites
Industrial sites are large, busy in some places and empty in others, and good security depends on knowing how the site actually runs, including at shift change.

What usually matters
- Gate control for vehicles, drivers and visitors
- Yards, trailers and parked vehicles
- Long perimeters and poorly lit corners
- Fuel, metal and high-value stock
- Shift changes and quiet periods
- Lone workers on site
What the plan can include
- A gatehouse officer checking vehicles in and out (manned guarding)
- Mobile patrols of yards and perimeters
- CCTV at gates, loading bays and fence lines
- Access control between public and restricted areas
- Key holding and alarm response outside working hours
What helps us plan
- A site plan showing gates, yards and buildings
- Shift patterns and delivery times
- What has gone missing or gone wrong, and when
- Your site rules and traffic plan
Common questions
Do you check drivers and vehicles?
That is a gate procedure we write with you. It covers what is checked, what is recorded and who is called if something does not match.
What about lone workers?
Lone working is a risk we raise in the survey. The plan can include check-ins or patrol timing, and your own lone working rules stay in force.
Is one gate log enough?
Rarely, on a site with more than one entrance. We look at every gate and who uses it, and recommend closing or controlling the ones you do not need.
